To Heaven and Back

Take me to Church

I went to meet a friend today to tell him I’d like him to meet someone important.

My friend said they were busy, they had to visit church.

I said I understand, but I think you’d like this fellow and that this individual had come a long way and had much to say.

My friend said more than the good book, more than the sermon that will be given today? Surely not.

I told my friend I thought about that and I asked this individual beforehand and to that they said they surely are more important than the book but they like what it says even if it’s a little off.

My friend stood amazed. “I’m going to church,” my friend said.

“Wait,” I said. “This individual will not be here for long, they have amazing things to share, is the church more important?”

My friend said yes. So he went to church.

I went to heaven.
