Many of my friends are in very different worlds than my own and yet we are indeed in the same Universe.
What do we learn from a picture? I know reasons for some items in the picture but you would not.
Would you consider a photograph art. There is an art to looking at art.
The picture shared above was taken by my friend Gemma who lives in Scotland with her Partner. I had her permission to share with my readers.
In my teenage years a Media Studies teacher introduced me to Louis Daguerre and introduced me to ‘The Artist’s Studio’ a photograph Louis took in 1837.
Now Read.

What information can you get from her photo?
The image does not represent her day to day. She produces art, has many projects she works on as does her partner but is this visible in that fairly busy picture. How would you know? Is this at her home studio, workplace, a friends? Is she at an Airbnb.
How do you know?
It doesn’t tell her story. If you were to question her you still may not get her full story.
It’s a glimpse. It may be a manufactured glimpse. I may be raw reality presented but as it truly was in that moment of action.
Pictures do not tell the full story but they tell us something.
Even a fabricated image is telling us something.
What do your pictures say?
